YOUNG ORCHARD VIEW WRESTLING TEAM HOPES TO CONTEND IN LAKES 8 CONFERENCE THIS SEASON

The Orchard View wresting team will open the season with a very young team.

OV has four returning wrestlers in Fred Waller, Mike Parker, Kayland Smith and Al Hairston.

Newcomers this season for the Cardinals, who finished with a 9-14 record last season and 3-4 in the Lakes 8 Conference, are Dakota Goosen, Kenny Yack and Jay Shawl.

“ It will be back to the basics this year as we have a young team and are struggling with depth on the roster,” Orchard View coach Jason Hernadez said. “We have a promising core of young talented wrestlers to build around and we should be competitive in the conference.”
