Spring Lake defense did all it needed to do against West Michigan Christian in its 67-27 girls basketball win on Saturday. The Lakers held WMC to just nine first half points.

Reiko Johnson tallied 16 points, five steals and four assists for Spring Lake who led 27-9 at half.

Remi French put in 15 points with 11 rebounds and a pair of blocks while Kelsee Zuidema scored 14 points and had eight rebounds, two steals and two blocks for Spring Lake.

West Michigan Christian was led by Jessica Knoll who had nine points.
