Evan Bruinsma drains four 3-pointers to help University of Detroit top Valparaiso

The University of Detroit pulled out an exciting 59-57 victory over Valparaiso Friday night. Juwan Howard Jr. hit a 3-pointer with five seconds left to erase a single point Valparaiso lead.

Western Michigan Christian graduate Evan Bruinsma had a double-double for the University of Detroit. The senior forward had 12 points on 4-of-6 shooting from behind the arc and grabbed 10 rebounds.  Bruinsma is currently tied for second in the Horizon league with 8 rebounds  per game.

The Titans were challenged throughout the game. They led 29-28 lead at halftime.
