Blue Jays 6, Tigers 0– The Toronto Blue Jays held the Tigers scoreless on Friday night.

Edwin Encarnacion paced Toronto with a home run and three RBIs while former Tiger Ezequiel Carrera and Kevin Pillar each had an RBI.

Detroit’s starting pitcher Mike Pelfrey suffered the loss, allowing one runs on six hits in six innings.

The Tigers are now 45-42 on the season, good for three-way tie for second place in the American League Central Division behind the first-place Cleveland Indians.

Detroit is look to snap its two-game losing streak with a win over the Blue Jays on Saturday afternoon.

The Tigers will look to even the series with a win against the Blue Jays on Friday night.
