The Orchard View boys soccer team won its first Lakes 8 game of the season, defeating Muskegon Catholic 6-4 on Thursday night.
The Cardinals, who led 3-2 at halftime, were led by Evan McMiller with two goals and an assist while Jared Fleener scored two goals.
Fabian Juarez added a goal and an assist for Orchard View and Jaxson Powles added a goal.
Orchard View is now 5-2 on the season and 1-0 in Lakes 8 play.
The Cardinals’ goalkeeper Brandon Lindsley stopped three shots while MCC’s Conor O’Neill had eight saves.
MCC’s Ryan Nielson, Collin Powers and Jose Mojica each scored a goal for the Crusaders.
Orchard View outshot the Crusaders by a 14-7 margin.
