Fremont falls to Tri-County in the opening round of Class B volleyball districts

The Fremont volleyball season came to an abrupt end on Monday night in the opening round of the Class B districts.

LSJ Logo incertThe Packers lost in a five-set match to Tri-County on their home court.

Both teams exchanged 25-15 wins in the first two sets then 25-18 victories in the next two sets to force the final deciding set.

Tri-County edged the Packers 15-9 to advance to the semifinals.

Bryar Vasquez led the Packers with 22 kills and 21 digs while Megan Supernaw had 40 assists, 11 digs, three aces and two kills. Ashley Jahr added 15 digs and seven kills for Fremont.

The Vikings will face Grant in the district semifinals on Wednesday.
