Fremont freshman Natalie Jamieson was bound to remember her first career varsity game, but probably didn’t expect it to end with a buzzer-beating shot to give her team the win.

LSJ Logo incertJamieson nailed the game-winning basket to propel the Packers girls basketball squad over Holton 36-34 on Tuesday night in a non-league game.

“It was a very exciting and very hard fought game back and forth the whole way,” said Fremont head coach John Krim.

Fremont led 20-17 at halftime and 26-25 after three quarters of play.

Bre Harris had 20 points and six steals to lead Fremont, while Jamieson totaled eight points.

Holton’s Courtney Slater had nine points for the Red Devils while Alacia Dykman scored eight.
