The Mona Shores co-op boys swim team had one first-place finish and seven second places finishes, but it wasn’t enough to defeat a talented Ottawa Hills squad in a 83-66 final on Tuesday.

The Sailors were led by first-place finisher Tommy Cotner in his fifth diving win of the season. Cotner also finished second in the 100 Free with a time of 57.78.

In the 200 Medley Relay, Cotner combined with Max Harz, Caiden Morin, and Tyler Heethouse for a second place  finish. Cotner helped in the second place 200 Free Relay race, this time Mona Shores switching in Noah Jacobs with Morin.

Mona Shores swims next on Thursday against Wayland for a 6 p.m. start.
