Senior and two-time all-state runner Brittany Beeler leads a strong Lakers team this season. Other key returnees will be juniors Ashley Warner and Jamie Kossuth and sophomores Carlyn Arteaga and Gretta Nyboer.
Also looking to contribute this season for the Lakers will be junior Katie Wells, sophomore Lacie Perkarski and freshmen Erin O’Keefe and Brooke Carrier.
“This season should be a fun one for us. I am looking forward to seeing Brittany run her final season and five of our varsity runners from last year are returning,” Andres said. “The girls put a lot of work in over the summer and we are excited to see how that helps us this fall. We have nearly 30 girls out for cross this year, a great turnout considering a few years ago we had around 12 girls on the team. These girls are extremely hard workers.”
