Mulder’s late goal gives Spring Lake an exciting 2-1 soccer victory over Mona Shores

Malachi Mulder scored the game-winning goal with 16 minutes remaining, propelling the Spring Lake soccer team to an exciting 2-1 victory over Mona Shores on Friday.

Ben Bush opened the scoring for Spring Lake just 10 minutes into the contest. Mona Shores answered and the score was tied 1-1 at halftime.

In the second half, Spring Lake’s Liam Beck served a free kick into the Sailor defensive zone.  Porter Saunders came up with the ball and found Mulder, who scored the game winner.

Aidan Parker got the victory in goal for the Lakers, who are now 3-1 on the season.
