Lakeview held a late lead on Thursday night before Newaygo canned four key free throws down the stretch and claimed a 42-40 victory.
Conor Bradley and Zack Knight each made two free throws late to push the Lions into the lead.
Bradley led the Lions with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Dakota Queen added 12 points and eight rebounds.
