HESPERIA SENDS 11 WRESTLERS TO INDIVIDUAL STATE FINALS

Hesperia had five regional champions and advanced 11 wrestlers to the state finals Saturday at the Division 4 individual wrestling regional at Rogers City.

The top-four wrestlers in each weight class advanced to the Individual State Finals Feb. 28-March 2 at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

Chase Siersema (135), Cash Bolles (145), Lee Siersema (160), Davian Gowens (103) and Zack Yates (119) all were crowned regional champions for the Panthers.

David Jacobs (130), Mark Workman (140), Wyatt Conkle (285) and Corey Agens (103) finished second for Hesperia, while Eldon Graham (189) and Scott Rosencrans (215) finished third to qualify for the state finals.

Hart’s Spencer Reterstoff (152) was also a regional champion and he will be joined at the state finals by teammates Klayton Ruggles (135)  and Elijah Flores (112) who placed third and fourth place finishers Jonathan Zarzoza (189) JR Hinojosa (215).
