Ludington boys overcome slow start, guns down Orchard View in boys basketball

Ludington spotted the Orchard View Cardinals a seven-point lead before roaring back for a 65-52 boys basketball victory on Saturday.

After falling behind 15-8 after eight minutes, the Orioles outscored the Cardinals 22-7 in the second quarter and took the lead for good.

Keith Melton led OV’s scoring with 15 points. Brandon Smith and John Leonard had 14 points each. Leonard also had 11 rebounds and five assists.

Trevor Wahr scored 23 points to lead the Orioles. Jacob Schoon and Christian Bandstra added 11 each.
