Fremont coach Pete Zerfas has been looking for some balance from his team for most of the season.

On Friday night, he got it as the Packers defeated Ludington 62-50 in a boys Lakes 8 contest.

Four Fremont players reached double figures in scoring, led by Mike Siegel, who was battling the flu, with 17 points, eight rebounds, seven steals and five assists.

Dylan Krim added 16 points, six assists and five rebounds. He also helped ice the game by making four free throws in the last 2 minutes of the game. Blake Siersema had 12 points and 10 rebounds while Mike MacLean added 12 points.

Ludington led early, but Fremont went on a 9-0 run and never trailed again. The Packers built the lead to as much as 16 points in the fourth quarter, but Ludington fought back to within four.

Fremont is now 9-6, 7-2.
