Muskegon Community College Lady Jayhawks fall in first round of regional basketball tournament

The Muskegon Community College Lady Jayhawks dropped an 85-65 decision to Lake Michigan Community College on Wednesdy in the first round of regional play.

Lindsey Burnside led MCC with 13 points, 10 rebounds and four blocked shots. Jasmine Jackson finished with 12 points.

Lake Michigan led 40-27 at the half.

“I thought we did a good job defensively with our man to man half-court defense,”  said MCC assistant coach Sandra Bush. “We had times in the game where we got the score within four points with opportunities to take the lead and gain momentum, but we just could not finish in the paint.”
