Finally, the Mona Shores Sailors were able to get on the field for their season opener.
And the result was a 3-2 victory over the visiting East Kentwood Falcons.
The Sailors took the lead in the fifth inning when Chase Baker reached base on an error and promptly stole second base. Gage Veltman drove him in with his second hit of the day.
Kyle Lawson pitched four solid innings of scoreless relief and posted the victory.
