The Kent City Eagles made quick work of Kelloggsville on Monday with a 17-0 victory in softball. The game lasted just three innings.
Eagle pitcher Ella Clay allowed no hits and struck out four to earn the victory.
Leading hitters in the Eagles’ 17-hit attack were Justine Wolter with a triple, two singles and three runs scored and Clay with three hits and two RBI. Janae Atwood, Brianne Sweers and Maddie Abshier each had two hits. Abshier, who had a triple, knocked in three runs and Atwood knocked in two.
We told the girls to come out aggressive today and they certainly did at the plate and on the base paths,” Eagle coach Krisha Hoffman said.
