Solid pitching and an aggressive offense sparked the Kent City Eagles to a 10-2 win over Kelloggsville.

Kent City scored four runs in the first, two in the third and four more in the fifth.

The aggressive offense was sparked by seven stolen bases for Kent City.

Winning pitcher Tyler Hawkins struck out 10 while giving up five hits and one walk. Thompson held Kelloggsville to one run in the third and one more in the seventh.

Austin Thompson finished 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs and an RBI. Justin Phillips had a pair of doubles and three RBI.

Jake Krueger had two hits, Kyle Boyd had a single and an RBI and KJ Herreman had a single and a stolen base.
