Ludington wins John Glenn Invitational Shootout soccer tournament

The Ludington Orioles captured first place in Saturday’s John Glenn Invitational Shootout.

The Orioles tied Gaylord 1-1, but then won a penalty kick shootout to gain the tiebreaker advantage. Ludington also beat John Glenn 2-1.

Maddie Haugli scored against Gaylord with an assist to Rachael Petzak.

Petzak and Maressa Sarto scored against John Glenn. Emma Lenz and Jacquelyn Lynch assisted on those two goals.

Molly Hallead was in goal in both games and had 12 saves against Gaylord and 14 saves against John Glenn.

Ludington’s record is 11-3-2.
