Kent City volleyball wouldn’t lose to Montague twice in one day at the Hesperia volleyball invitational on Saturday. The Eagles topped the Wildcats 25-15 and 25-19 in the finals to capture the invite.
Montague had downed Kent City in two games 25-22, 25-21 during pool play earlier in the day.
Kassidy Heeringa led the Eagles with 15 aces and had 40 services points and 24 assists. Kayleigh Hartley had a solid day for Kent City with 28 assists, five aces and 28 service points.
Justine Wolter had 20 kills, 34 digs and three blocks to lead Kent City at the net.
The Eagles went 4-1 on the day with wins over Evart (25-6, 25-8), and Hart (25-14, 25-8).
