Spring Lake takes regional title in girls golf

CEDAR SPRINGS – Spring Lake won the regional title Thursday, being second-place Forest Hills Eastern by five strokes to advance to next weekend’s state meet at Grand Valley State University’s The Meadows Golf Course.

Spring Lake, which compiled a team score of 354 strokes, was led by Anna Kamer, who finished fifth with a score of 86, while teammate Ginnie Olszewski was sixth with an 88 and Kayla Krueger was ninth with an 89.

Fremont, which finished ninth, was led by Kenzie Zuchowski’s (103) 24th-place finish, while Fruitport was 10th overall, led by Alexis Jackel, who finished 21st overall with a score of 100.
