This year’s Muskegon Basketball Showcase could be the best in the history of the event, with three of the top boys teams in the entire state of Michigan set to take on three traditional powers from the Chicago area in Saturday’s triple-header starting at 3 p.m. at Redmond-Potter Gymnasium.

Muskegon High School, which saw its 31-game winning streak snapped on Tuesday against East Kentwood, will try to get back on the winning track against powerhouse Chicago Curie in the 7 p.m. finale.

The event’s 3 p.m. opener features one of the state’s top juniors, 6-4 Devon Daniels, leading unbeaten Kalamazoo Central against Thea Bowman Academy, out of Gary, Ind. The 5 p.m. game has Mr. Basketball candidate Eric Davis of Saginaw Arthur Hill going up against star-studded Chicago Vocational.

Below is the schedule for the event.
