The Muskegon Community College baseball team improved its record to 7-6 on the season Saturday by sweeping a doubleheader from the St. Joseph College junior varsity, 12-4 and 7-5.

In the opener, relief pitcher Jordan Wahr collected the victory by giving up only one hit over the 3 and 1/3 innings. Reid Beffrey and Luke Bunting each had two hits while Dylan Brown homered.

Pitcher R. J. Holwerda got the win in the second game while Austin Curtis collected the save. Kyle Vedrode had two hits while Adrian Anderson had two hits and three RBI for MCC.

The Jayhawks will play Aquinas College on the road on Tuesday.
