Spring Lake’s RJ Morrow shined in the pitching circle and at the plate Tuesday as the Lakers overwhelmed Muskegon Catholic in a Lakes 8 Conference doubleheader, 18-­0 and 19-­4.

LSJ Logo incertMorrow threw a no­-hitter with only one walk for the Lakers in Game 1. Lauren Hellman scored four runs while Madelyn Nelson scored three for Spring Lake.

In the nightcap, the Lakers took control by scoring 10 runs in the first inning.

Morrow had two hits in the victory, including a three-run homer. Randi Rice and Katie Mumby each tallied two hits.

Laura Park picked up the win on the mound for the Lakers, who improved to 8-2 overall and 6-0 in the league.
