The Muskegon Community College volleyball team fell to Grand Rapids Community College in four sets (23-25, 23-25, 25-22, 18-25) on Tuesday night in the final match of the regular season.
Ashly Schuitema led the Jayhawks with 17 kills and 11 digs. Marissa Hassevoort chipped in a team high 34 digs while Lindsey Jacobs had 45 assists, 14 digs and two aces.
MCC finished the regular season with a 20-14 record and a 10-4 conference mark, which is good for third place in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association and a spot in the regional playoffs that start this weekend.
