The Hesperia and Montague softball teams each took a win in a non-league twin bill on Thursday.lsj-fb-logo

Hesperia won the first game 15-12 and the Wildcats bounced back with a 14-3 win in Game 2.

In Game 1 the Panthers were led by Alyssa Meyers with three hits and three RBIs, while Montague’s Chase Jancek and Emma Rupert each had three hits.

Montague was led by Brandi Rice in Game 2 with seven RBIs, which included a grand-slam home run. Allyssa Bobian chipped in with three hits and an RBI.

Wildcats’ starting pitcher Courtney Lohman picked up the win, striking out five batters and walking three.
