The Kent City softball team avenged an earlier sweep by Holton by taking two from the Red Devils on Thursday, 6-3 and 11-2.LSJ Logo incert

The Eagles improved to 14-6 overall and 10-4 in league play. They also moved into first place in their conference.

Pitcher Blaire Mortensen held Holton scoreless after the second inning and collected the win in Game 1. Autumn O’Keefe had three hits and an RBI for Kent City.

Mortensen also pitched the win in Game 2, scattering six hits and striking out five in her second complete-game win of the night.

Kent City took control by scoring six runs in the first inning. Nelson Armstrong had three hits while Bailey Armstrong added two for the Eagles.
