The Ludington girls soccer team got off to a great start in Division 3 regionals on Thursday, downing Pinconning 8-0 in a semifinal game in Clare.
The Orioles improved to 15-6-1 on the season. They will face Freeland in the regional finals in Clare on Friday at 6 p.m.
Scoring for Ludington were Kristen Reidenbach and Bethany Shay with two goals apiece, along with Marissa Hansen, Rhianna Lynn, Mallory Shinn and Makenzie Condit, who had single tallies.
Anna Bredenmeier assisted on three goals, Olivia Sekenske added two assists while Mackenzie Luce had one.
Allison Janowiak got the victory in goal, making two saves.
