The Western Michigan Christian volleyball team went 2-0 in its home tri-meet on Wednesday evening.
The Warriors (9-8-1) defeated Belding 23-25, 25-23, 15-8 and then topped Potter’s House 25-19, 25-18.
Haylee Moser led Western Michigan Christian with three aces and 21 digs while Cassie Kingma added five aces and 10 kills.
Jesse Eekhoff tallied 15 kills and five blocks for the Warriors, while Aubrey Goorman had 12 kills and six blocks.
FRUITPORT SPLITS AT O-K BLACK MEET
The Fruitport volleyball team went 1-1 at the Reeths-Puffer O-K Black tri-meet on Wednesday evening.
The Trojans defeated Reeths-Puffer 25-15, 19-25, 27-25, 28-26, but was swept in straight sets by Mona Shores, 25-19, 25-19, 25-15.
Jordyn Carlyle led the Trojans with 11 kills against Reeths-Puffer, while Kylie Oberlin added 10 kills.
Mona Shores finished 2-0 during the evening, as the Sailors also topped Kenowa Hills, 25-11, 25-21, 25-18.
Mona Shores was led by Kaitlin Hermanson with 55 assists, while Grace Hellman added 27 kills and 24 digs.
Courtney Dunn added 15 kills for the Sailors, while Madison Dunn added 13 kills and four blocks.
The Sailors are now 10-6 overall with a 4-0 conference record.
