The Spring Lake girls basketball team had a big fourth quarter and beat Coopersville 52-42 in O-K Blue Conference play on Friday.

The Lakers trailed 35-34 after three quarters, then took control with an 18-7 burst in the fourth.

Reiko Johnson led the Lakers (5-4, 3-1) with 23 points and eight assists while Jenna Core added a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

LUDINGTON 52, MUSKEGON CATHOLIC CENTRAL 37 – The Orioles (8-2, 4-0) held a tight 16-15 advantage after one quarter, but outscored the Crusaders by 13 in the second quarter to take a 29-16 lead into halftime. Jenna Keson had a team-high 14 points for Ludington while Mackenzie Howe chipped in nine points. The Crusaders (4-6, 2-3) were led by Talia Tyler, who tallied 10 points, four assists and five steals.

MANISTEE 53, MUSKEGON HEIGHTS 47 – Jakayla Anderson dropped in a double-double for the Tigers with 26 points and 10 rebounds. Muskegon Heights led 20-14 at halftime, but fell behind with three minutes left in the third quarter. Roninique Anderson added 14 points for the Tigers. Natalie Cott paced Manistee with 21 points.

FRUITPORT 62, GRAND RAPIDS UNION 47 – Iyana Brown had a triple-double for the Trojans with 15 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists. Fruitport (3-7, 2-3), which controlled much of the game, carried a 28-15 lead into the half. Katie Veihl added 12 points and eight rebounds for the Trojans while Emily Winicki dropped 13 points.

HUDSONVILLE 43, GRAND HAVEN 34 – Hudsonville led 21-20 at halftime in the back-and-forth affair. Grand Haven (6-5, 1-3) came back and took a one-point lead going into the fourth quarter, but the Eagles went on a 13-3 run to end the game. Alli Keyser led the Bucs with 11 points while Esther Byington added 10.
