The Fruitport softball team’s comeback effort fell short in a 14-12 loss to Jenison on Tuesday. 
The Trojans trailed 14-1 after three innings before rallying to make it a two-run game.
Brynne Tober led the way for Fruitport with four hits and four RBIs. Aurora Wilks had two hits and drove in four.
Fruitport pitcher Rachel Paulsen struck out three in four innings of work.
