The Muskegon Community College men’s basketball team had its six-game win streak snapped Saturday, losing 105-86 to visiting Lake Michigan College.
MCC trailed 50-36 at halftime but was able to cut its deficit to eight points with 11 minutes to go. LMC responded with back-to-back 3-pointers to keep the Jayahwks out of reach.
Daryl Kirkland II, a former Muskegon Big Red, led all scorers with 30 points while Sergio Diaz also paced Muskegon, hitting six 3-pointers to finish with 26 points.
