The Fremont boys basketball team ended its season in heartbreaking fashion with a 67-66 overtime loss to Comstock Park on Monday in Division 2 district play.

The Packers trailed 13-8 after the first quarter and were behind 24-8 halfway through the second quarter.

Fremont closed the gap but trailed 27-24 at halftime. The Packers had an advantage most of the second half until Comstock Park forced overtime with desperation three-point basket as regulation expired.

The Packers were outscored by a 9-8 margin during the overtime period.

Calvin Miller paced Fremont with 21 points, while Julian Echavarria added 12 and Carter Moon chipped in with 11.

The Packers finished their season with a remarkable 19-2 record.
