The Muskegon Heights boys basketball team advanced to the division 4 district finals after defeating Fruitport Calvary Christian 72-55 on Wednesday in district semifinals action.

The Tigers got off to a hot start, leading 22-10 after one quarter and increasing the lead to 43-22 at halftime.

Fruitport Calvary outscored the Tigers by a 22-19 margin during the third quarter but trailed 62-44 heading into the fourth frame.

Kevon Washington led the Tigers with 22 points.

The Eagles were led by Zach Zehr and Luke Anhalt with 16 points apiece.

The Tigers will face Muskegon Catholic in the district finals on Friday at Fruitport Calvary High School at 7 p.m.
