The Ludington football team cruised to a 35-0 victory over Fremont on Thursday in its season opener.

The Orioles led 7-0 after both the first quarter and halftime before scoring 21 third quarter points to take a 28-0 advantage heading into the fourth quarter.

Jake Lamm led the Orioles with 78 rushing yards on eight carries and threw for 90 yards on 5-for-9 passing and a touchdown.

The Packers were led by Carter Dunbar with 55 rushing yards on 15 carries while Christian Kennedy led the defense with five solo tackles.

Ludington will host Hesperia next Friday, while Fremont will travel to Reed City.
