Western Michigan Christian volleyball team played at the End of Summer Classic on Friday in Temperance, and finished with a 1-3 record against a very tough field.

The teams in the tournament have 24 state championships among them.

WMC defeated Mt. Morris 22-25, 25-22, 15-9. That was followed by losses to Ann Arbor Skyline 25-21, 20-25, 9-15; Battle Creek St. Philip 25-22, 19-25, 11-15; and defending three-time state champion Bronson 25-20, 20-25, 15-17.

Claudia Kingma led the Warriors on the day with 16 kills. Chlie Mitchell had 26 service points, including 10 aces, and 84 assists. Defensively, Kyla Wiersema had 11 blocks and Meghan Heiss registered 36 digs.
