Mona Shores running back Tre Hatcher scored five touchdowns on Friday, leading the Sailors to a convincing 43-6 road victory over Bay City Central.

In the first quarter, Hatcher scored rushing touchdowns of 50 yards and one yard to give the Sailors a 14-0 lead.

Hatcher then added touchdown runs of 25 and 17 yards in the second quarter, while Logan Hekkema caught a 39-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Brady Rose, giving the Sailors a 36-0 halftime lead.

Hatcher wrapped up the Sailor scoring in the third quarter with a 15-yard touchdown run, extending the Mona Shores lead to 43-0.

Bay City Central scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter.

Hatcher totaled 229 yards and five touchdowns on 14 carries for a 16.36 yards per carry average. Rose totaled 96 yards on six carries, plus 69 yards passing with one touchdown. He also contributed defensively with a 56-yard interception return.

The Sailors, now 2-0 on the season, will open up O-K Black Conference play next week when they host Reeths-Puffer.
