Saturday volleyball roundup: Montague goes 4-1, falls in Morley Stanwood championship

The Montague volleyball team went 4-1 in the Morley Stanwood tournament on Saturday before losing to the hosts in the finals.

Montague defeated Onaway, Lakeview, White Cloud and Tri County on the day.

Reilly Murphy paced the Wildcats with 64 kills and 29 digs while Maddy Wynn added 67 digs.

Raegan Murphy had 140 assists and 15 kills for Montague.

MUSKEGON SPLITS TWO – The Muskegon volleyball team went 0-2-2 on Saturday at the Rocket Invitational, losing to Holland and Delton Kellogg but splitting with Grand Rapids Union and Kelloggsville.

Deshonna Day led the Big Reds with 10 kills and seven blocks while Deziraye Wilson had 12 blocks.

The Big Reds are now 1-9-4 overall on the season.

HART HAS SOLID SATURDAY – The Hart volleyball team went 3-2-1 on Saturady at the Onekama tournament, defeating Buckley, Manistee and Marion.

Finley Kislter paced Hart with 48 assists, nine aces and four digs while Nicole Rockwell added 63 digs and three aces.

Cassidy Copenhaver added 38 digs, 15 kills, nine aces and two blocks.

The Pirates are now 7-7-5 on the season.
