While no set ended within less than five points, the Whitehall volleyball team was able to win both of its matches in straight sets at the Ludington tri-match on Thursday.

The Vikings beat Ludington by scores of 25-20 and 26-24, then topped Big Rapids 26-24 and 25-22.

Rayne Thompson led the Vikings with 12 kills while adding 10 digs as well. Rileigh Thommen and Lainey Morin chipped in with seven and five kills apiece, respectively.

Jaden Mikkelson and Maggie Evans set their teammates up well, tallying 17 and 16 assists, respectively.

The Vikings improved to 9-11-2 on the season.

HAMILTON 2-REED CITY 2, FRUITPORT 0-0 – The Trojans fell to Hamilton by scores of 21-25 and 15-25, then lost to Reed City by scores of 18-25 and 17-25.

Brooke Sieplinga led the Trojans offensively with nine kills while Erika Burgess and Cailey Richards added four and three kills, respectively.

Defensively, Kennadi Dykstra kept alot of points alive as she tallied 26 digs on the night.

The Trojans fell to 6-13-2 on the season.

PENTWATER 3, BEAR LAKE 0- The Falcons won their sets by scores of 25-11, 25-7 and 25-3.

Terra Cluchey led the Falcons with 10 kills to go along with three aces, while Jhordan Miller had nine kills.

Mekayla Cornelisse did a little bit of everything for the Falcons with 21 assists, four aces and three digs.

Pentwater improved to 5-3 and the year and stays undefeated at 4-0 in conference play.

NORTH BAY 2-REED CITY 2, MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 0-1 – The Spartans started the night with a loss to North Bay in two sets 15-25 and 23-25, and ended the night in a three set loss to Reed City by scores of 23-25, 25-15 and 10-15.

Halley Jackson led the Spartans with 13 kills on the night while Nyah Tyron added eight kills.

Bryalen Green and Tyron paced the Spartans with 13 and 10 assists apiece, respectively.
