The Grand Haven girls basketball team pulled out a low-scoring but exciting 36-34 victory over Grandville on Tuesday in an O-K Red contest.

The score was knotted 19-19 after the first half, and Grandville held a 26-24 edge going into the fourth quarter.

The Bucs had a 12-8 advantage down the stretch to claim the conference win.

Grand Haven’s Jolee Houle led all scorers with 17 points along with four assists and four steals. Also chipping in were Zoe Spoelman with 12 points and Molly Long with eight rebounds.

Grand Haven improved to 6-3 overall and 2-2 in the conference.
