The Ludington volleyball squad posted a 2-1 record on Thursday in a quad-match.

The Orioles lost to Grand Rapids South Christian in two straight sets (20-25, 20-25), then bounced back by defeating Unity Christian (17-25, 25-23 and 15-12) and Zeeland East (18-25, 28-26 and 15-13).

De’Lahna Porter and Elena Vaara led Ludington with 22 kills apiece, while Keelyn Laird added six. Porter also served up 10 aces and Karli Mesyar chipped in with 46 assists.

The Orioles were paced defensively by Sophia Cooney with 22 digs while Laird had 13. Porter had nine blocks up front.

Ludington is now 22-10 overall on the season and 3-1 in Lakes 8 action.
