The Hart girls basketball squad captured a Division 3 district title after defeating Mason County Central 51-29 on Friday night.

The Pirates jumped out to a 17-7 advantage after the opening stanza, led 31-17 at halftime and held a 38-20 lead through three quarter. Hart continued in the fourth quarter by going on a 13-9 run to close out the game.

Jayd Hovey paced Hart with 14 points and five assists, while Rylee Noogle added a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Aspen Boutell and Mariana VanAgtmael chipped in with 11 points apiece.

The Spartans, who closed out the season with a 6-14 record, were led by Nyah Tyron with 10 points, five rebounds and five steals, while Adria Quigley added nine points.

The Pirates are now 15-4 on the season and will play Beaverton on Monday at 5:00 p.m. at Maple City Glen Lake.
