Reeths-Puffer avoided a three-game sweep at the hands of conference rival Mona Shores with a win Thursday night. After dropping a pair of games Tuesday, the Rockets picked up an 8-5 win over the Sailors.

Kaleb Mitchelson earned the win on the mound for R-P, striking out five hitters and allowing five runs on three hits. Brody Panozzo and Connor Paugh led the offense, driving in two runs a piece. Alex Orchard and Ayden Willacker chipped in as well, each with a pair of hits.

Mason Brunworth took the loss in relief for Mona Shores. The Sailors offense was paced by Brunworth and Diego Pena with two hits a piece. Brady Rose had a hit and an RBI.

Reeths-Puffer is now 2-4 on the season, all conference games. The Sailors fall to 6-3 overall, and 3-3 in conference play.

MUSKEGON CATHOLIC CENTRAL 13, LUDINGTON 3 — The Crusaders picked up a five inning win over the Orioles in Lakes 8 Conference action.

Max Price picked up the win, allowing three runs on five hits while striking out eight hitters. Tom Kartes led the offense with three hits while Price, Navarre Klint, Dewey Modaff and Sam Convertini picked up a pair of hits each.

With the win, the Crusaders improve to 4-3 overall and 2-1 in conference play.

HOLTON 3-4, WHITE CLOUD 1-11 (Wednesday) — The Red Devils split a doubleheader with White Cloud Wednesday. Aidan Poling got the win in Game 1, striking out 17. Austin Fowler had two hits and two RBI to lead the offense.
Poling led the offense in the nightcap with four hits.
