The Grant Tigers traveled to Tri-County for a CSAA matchup and walked away with a 40-14 loss.

Grant took the opening kick 71 yards to take an early 6-0 lead on a 2-yard touchdown run by quarterback Brady Jacobs.

Unwilling to have their homecoming spoiled, the Vikings scored the next 40 points and walked away winners.

Senior Chase Kazemeier capped Grant’s scoring with a two-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter. Kazemeier also added the 2-point conversion.

Grant’s offense was led by Brady Jacobs, who carried 29 times for 134 yards and a touchdown. Jacobs also completed 6 of 10 passes for 50 yards.

Nathan Lang was Jacobs’ favorite target, finishing with two catches for 40 yards.

Defensively, the Tigers were paced by senior Sawyer Carr with six tackles and seniors Angel Tello and Trenton Railling with five stops each.

Grant travels to Fremont next week to take on the winless Packers.
