Kent City marched down the field on its opening possession and never looked back in a 50-14 over White Cloud.

Dylan Sutton’s key interception in the endzone set the tone for the Eagles as they got out to an impressive 28-0 lead at halftime.

Mason Westbrook was the offensive workhorse, carrying the ball 20 times for 189 yards and a score. Joe VanOeffelen rushed for 105 yards and three scores while Webb Longcore added a rushing touchdown of his own as the Eagles put up 498 total yards of offense.

Kyler Larson ran for 76 yards and a score while also throwing for 64 yards and a score. The leading receiver for the Eagles was Hayden Carlson with two receptions for 58 yards and a touchdown.

The Eagles’ stout defense was led by Longcore, with four tackles and a tackle for loss. Sutton tacked on two tackles to go with his two interceptions, including his interception in the endzone halting a potential White Cloud scoring drive. Carter Milanowski had four tackles and a tackle for loss of his own.

Kent City improves to 4-2 on the season and will host Hartford next week.
