Grand Haven used a first-half lead and sharp free throw shooting to top Reeths-Puffer  61-56 in a non-league boys basketball matchup on Friday.
 
The Bucs led Reeths-Puffer 30-20 at half time and held a 40-34 lead heading into the final eight minutes. 
 
Grand Haven was nearly perfect at the free throw line in the final quarter, making 10 of 11 from the line. The Bucs shot a tremendous 17 of 19 from the charity stripe for the game. 
 
The closest the Rockets were able to cut Grand Haven’s lead in the second half, was three points. 
 
Gand Haven’s Harrison Soerelle led all scores with 25 points while Nic Stump added 16 points for the Bucs. 
 
The Rockets were led by Jaxson Whitaker with 21 points and four assists while Travis Ambrose scored all 11 of his points in the second half and grabbing nine rebounds.
