Oakridge’s Lundquist puts up double-double in Eagles’ loss to Sparta

The Oakridge girl’s varsity basketball team struggled to get much of anything going in their season opening 41-23 loss to visiting Sparta on Tuesday.

The Eagles fell behind 18-7 at half and continued to play catchup for the rest of the game, but not without some effort.

Oakridge’s Anna Lundquist recorded a double-double with 11 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks while Destyni Lane offered up six points.

Oakridge will see their first West Michigan Conference matchup on Friday when they host the Montague Wildcats at 7 p.m.
