Aided by a dominant showing from Parker Swartz the Mona Shores boys basketball team overtook the strong shooting Lowell Red Arrows 63-54 on Tuesday night.

Both teams battled over the first half with the Sailors slowly pulling ahead as they jumped out to a solid 20 point lead in the third quarter.

The Red Arrows continued to pester the Sailors in an attempt to claw away the game, but Mona Shores was more than determined and they dug in to hold the victory.

Swartz let his presence be known for the Sailors putting up 22 points, pulling down five rebounds and making three blocks.

Also contributing for the Sailors Keontae Richards scored 11 points and made six assists while Ethan Krueger and Jordan Bledsoe added 11 points and seven points respectively.

Donovan Russell was commanding down low grabbing nine rebounds and making three blocks for the Sailors.

Mona Shores moves to 3-3 on the season and will open O-K Green action on Friday when they host Union.
