STANWOOD — Hesperia’s boys basketball team couldn’t get any offensive charge Friday night and was defeated by Morley-Stanwood, 53-17 on the road in the Central State Activities-Silver.

“Our defense kept us relevant,” Panthers head coach Andrew Worcester said. “However, without any offensive production, we fell behind early and could not climb out of the hole.

“We will continue to play hard, and develop as a team moving forward. We have a few tough games left, and we look to use these games to improve in all areas.

“We have a young team, and I am excited to see these young men grow into the team I know they can be.”

Hesperia fell to 1-14 overall and 0-9 in the conference. The Panthers are next scheduled to see action Tuesday, Feb. 22 hosting Fruitport Calvary Christian.
