MUSKEGON–A Mona Shores two headed offensive attack was effective in win over rival Muskegon 50-25.

A low scoring first quarter favored the Sailors as they led 7-4. The scoring picked up in the second quarter as the Sailors maintained their lead 19-10 at half. Mona Shores exploded for 31 points in the second half with a third quarter lead of 35-17.

Mia Brown and Lily Miller were the most effective offensive talents for the Sailors with 16 points apiece. Olivia Sobczak and Khaleeya Cook each tallied an additional six points.

Muskegon’s leading scorer on the evening was BreAnna Gamble-Jones with eight points including two three-pointers. JaMya Robinson had five points as well.

Mona Shores improves 10-2 in the OK-Green and 15-3 overall as they remain in first place in the conference. The Sailors will host Holland next week Tuesday.

With the loss, Muskegon drops to third in the conference with a 10-2 conference record and 11-6 overall record. The Big Reds will host second place Reeths-Puffer on Tuesday.
